PPS OVERNIGHT CAMP
FOCUS: COLLEGE STYLE PRACTICES
Welcome to the 2019 PPS Overnight Squash Camp @ Avon Old Farms University
The PPS Overnight Camp is designed for squash players to understand and learn about playing squash at the college level. The sessions will have several college coaches who will share their experiences on how they run college practices. We will also have guest touring professionals who will share their training experiences. This is great atmosphere all players who are interested in playing beyond the junior level. The sessions will have numerous match play, mental preparation and game strategy. This will be a great camp for squash exposure with college coaches and to ask questions about squash. We will also have several college coaches who will also be participating in various sessions. All players must be ready to play at their best level. Though the camp will be designed as college practices; students in high school are strongly encouraged to attend. Avon Old Farms University has 7 International squash courts and an excellent dorm facility located within the campus for over-night stay.
Our camp is designed to help players to display their overall game “competition” and to participate in a “college exposure” environment. There will also be an “educational” session during the week; students will learn about various of styles of play and how to incorporate in their games. They will also learn the difference of style of play in college vs at the junior level. All information will help enhance their game to the next level.
We encourage all students be ready to play and ask questions. Embrace the positive competitive atmosphere – and they will love it!
